The Long-Awaited Album

Sadly, I discovered that my bluetooth earphone doesn't work for a few days already ... that means music won't be with me when I'm away home until I get that fixed (luckily SonyEricsson repair centre is just located in Hopewell Centre, right next to my office!).

Fireworks

We went outdoor to view the fireworks at 8pm and then went back to the indoor dining room to continue the dinner. Though the weather was not perfect, we all had fun.
I brought my digital camera (but without a battery!) ... so I had to switch to my dummy mobile phone for these lower quality photos. How stupid! :)
Protege 門徒 (B-)

The director Derek Yee (爾冬陞) tries to give too much details about the Heroin industry - too overwhelming actually. I'm fine with the simple story though. In the last scene, Daniel Wu, who plays as a undercover agent in the film, wondered why people take drugs ... and asked whether drugs or loneliness is more scary ... probably the latter, if I was asked.
Overall, I'll give Protege a B-.

New Impression towards Government Hospitals
I seldom visit hospitals ... and my impression towards government hospitals have been changed this time ... 'cos I found the staff there were very friendly, sincere and caring with patients and their families, and the environment was pretty clean too. A big thank you to all staff in Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital!

From Paris to Hong Kong
This morning, I saw a photo on the board standing on my desk ... that was taken in Jan 2005 in a farewell party for Chris who was about to depart for Paris for a two-year posting. He's back. And yesterday I had lunch with him. Does time really fly?

Khalil Fong in Concert

Among the guests who went on stage (e.g. Fiona 薛凱琪, 農夫 and Andy Hui), I particularly liked Andy Hui who sang 大愛 with Khalil. 林夕 specially wrote some Putonghua lyrics of 大愛 for this concert so that Khalil was able to sing together with Andy Hui for the song. But this was the thing that I didn't understand ... he said he has a rule that he won't sing Cantonese songs ... I really don't understand ... though among the Chinese community, the Putonghua-speaking crowd is larger, it wouldn't be wise to forget about the majority of Hong Kong people who are able to help him establish a strong foothold in the Asian market ... so, I'm still wondering even now, anyway, I enjoyed the show very much ... probably the best show I've watched in these few years.
